Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine features Heather Marx Art Advisory in 2016

Life gets busy and with most businesses, projects close out and you move onto the next one. I recently reconnected with a client and it made me nostalgic. These clients were supporters of my former art gallery, Marx & Zavattero, and after we closed after 12 years in San Francisco they were my first clients to engage me as their Art Consultant for a custom new home build in Carmel, California. Editor, Caren Kurlander, produced a beautiful feature on their home overlooking Carmel Valley. It was a pleasure finding artworks for key locations in this stunning home. With the stellar backdrop of the natural landscape and the sensitive and light filled modern home designed by Mary Ann Gabriele Schicketanr, this was truly a dream project and I am thankful to be reminded of it. Please enjoy an abbreviated look at the feature here published in the March/April 2016 issue.

MCXT, A Future for Everyone, (mural commission) at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Redwood City, California

April 2022

In 2019 we commissioned Oakland based artists MCXT (Monica Canilao and Xara Thustra) to create a mural encompassing our client’s broad initiatives and to define A Future For Everyone. In early 2020 we installed the 3 panel painting in the lobby at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s new HQ in Redwood City, California. The energy and thoughtfulness that went into this commission was tremendous and we are proud to be a part of the process. Due to the pandemic, the filming and release of the video on the making of the painting was delayed, and we are thrilled it is now available to the public. Please see the video here.
